Quilts by Real People
Florida Sisters
Timeless Patterns
These three quilts were pieced together in the mid-50's by Rena
Belle Bridges & Raye Jones of Dunellon and Romeo, Florida. In 1995,
Rena Belle's daughter, Parilee Murray, took the tops to Kentucky to have
them machine quilted, and has given each of her sons, (Rena Belle Bridges'
grandsons) a quilt.
The Butterfly quilt is appliqued, and hand embroidered with
black floss.
The red quilt is called Monkey Wrench.
The scrappy quilt is a Four Patch with sashing.
Thank you to Janet Murray for providing this information and
photos.
