Ellen’s Fishes
Way back in the early nineties, a little girl named Ellen Sutey lived across the walk from us in Germany. She must have been about ten or eleven at the time. Ellen liked fish. Everyone in our family liked Ellen, for she made us laugh and had an infectious smile.
My youngest daughter was in high school, and often babysat for the Sutey children. I was designing quilts with my spanking new version of Electric Quilt 3, and decided to make a fish quilt for Ellen.
I never actually sewed the quilt, and the pattern was cumbersome, so, this year, fifteen years later, (lol!) I decided to redesign it in a format that would make it possible for both beginners and advanced quilters to make a fish quilt for a child that makes them smile.
There are three seaweed blocks, a jellyfish block, as well as the lobster corner blocks and the fish blocks in the EQ file.
I hope you enjoy it!

Printable Block
We no longer offer PDF files for free download on QuiltZine. A disk holding all of the block files in both Electric Quilt and printable pattern files will be available in the near future.
